Ochs, Adolph Simon
(12 mar. 1858, Cincinnati, Ohio, EE.UU.–8 abr. 1935, Chattanooga, Tenn.).

Editor de periódicos estadounidense. Creció en Tennessee donde trabajó en varios periódicos. A los 20 años pidió prestados 250 dólares para adquirir el moribundo Chattanooga Times y lo transformó en uno de los periódicos más importantes del Sur estadounidense. En 1896 obtuvo el control del New York Times, que pasaba por un mal momento financiero. Desdeñoso de la prensa amarilla impulsó un estilo riguroso, fiable y completo de hacer periodismo que sintetizó en el lema "Todas las noticias que merecen ser impresas. Bajo su propiedad el Times llegó a ser uno de los periódicos más sobresalientes del mundo. Desde 1900 fue director de la Associated Press. Su yerno Arthur H. Sulzberger fue el primero de los herederos de la familia en dirigir la empresa New York Times Co.
